Welcome to my site. I am Yoshika
Murakami. I am a Japanese artist who currently resides in the
United States. I grew up on a tiny island in Ehime prefecture,
southern west part of Japn until age 18. Since I was a little, I was
really a curious child who had always wanted to see what's outside
that small island. And the curiousity eventrually lead me to
move to Tokyo after graduating high school and eventually to
New York to study arts.
After attending college with
major in graphic design for 2 years, I felt the urge to
pursue my own way of expressing myself in my art and quit
college and started painting. And, for me, free style of fine arts
really seemed to have helped me liberate my spirit as an artist, I
feel like I am ready to be back in the design field now.
But,
after all, I suppose I am just a kind of person who just want
to keep growing with my art. Therefore, on this website, not only
my art work, I hope I can also share my lessons and the process of
growth of me as a person as well. Hope you enjoy my site.
